Guru Nanak Sikh Academy is an all-through Sikh faith school where our ethos has successfully cultivated a unique community and atmosphere that enables our pupils to equip themselves with a broad understanding of the world so that they go on to lead a flourishing life and help others to do so by serving Humanity. Our SHARE values are embedded throughout our all-through vision and our school community; Service, Humility, Achievement, Respect and Equality.
Our fantastic facilities across the Academy allow our pupils to experience an engaging and robust curriculum with extensive learning opportunities. With a legacy of Ofsted outstanding behaviour and academic progress from the Early Years to KS5, Guru Nanak Sikh Academy welcomes pupils to their educational journey. We do this with humility and in the name of our founder Baba Amar Singh Ji.

Looking back on an incredible Autumn 1 at GNSA! 🍂 From celebrating outstanding summer results to welcoming our newest pupils—including a record 113 students joining our Sixth Form—it has been heartwarming to witness the enthusiasm, confidence, and aspirations of our young people. Over the past 7 weeks we had numerous educational visits and enrichment opportunities, successful Reception, Year 7 and Sixth Form Open Evenings, engaging parent workshops and parents' evenings have brought our community together. Equally inspiring has been the enthusiasm for pupil leadership, from our newly elected Primary Ambassadors and School Parliament to 56 Sixth Form Subject Ambassadors stepping forward to serve others. We have expanded our lionheart leader with over 30 extracurricular clubs running weekly across the MAT to help children discover new talents, forge friendships, and build resilience. At GNSA, we believe true flourishing is not simply about academic excellence, but about nurturing the whole child through our SHARE values: Service to others, Humility, Achievement, Respect, and Equality. Two of our incredible Sixth Form students, Mannat and Jiya, took centre stage recently to share their hard work at the 10 Years of Women of Faith in Action celebration at the Nishkam Centre in Birmingham! 🌟 As part of their work with the Bold Voices Ambassador Programme, these students are championing respect and equality by educating others on how to tackle misogyny (unfair treatment or disrespect towards women and girls). Over the past few months, Mannat, Jiya, and their Sixth Form peers rolled up their sleeves and carried out their own research, gathering real thoughts and experiences from both students and teachers. 📚💡 At the event, surrounded by faith and community leaders from across the region, our ambassadors took the mic. They spoke powerfully about their personal experiences, why fairness and respect matter, and how young people can help build a safer, more equal world for everyone. 🎤✨ The atmosphere in the room was truly inspiring, filled with speeches about peace, kindness, and standing together. When should your child stay home from school? 🏫🤒 Knowing when to keep your child off school can be tricky! As a general rule, if they have minor symptoms like a mild cold, runny nose, or a slight cough, they can still come to school. Stay home if they have: A high temperature Vomiting or diarrhoea Infectious conditions like chickenpox Why attendance matters for their future: Missing just 2 days a month equals 10% of the school year. Over time, frequent absences make it harder for children to keep up with learning, maintain close friendships, and build strong routines. Good attendance helps children feel confident, connected, and ready for future success!
