Eco Masters Update
Eco Masters Update
This half-term we have continued to work on our actions that we identified in our action plan in our ECO Meetings. This includes our weekly litter legend litter picks on our school grounds. We are now thinking about starting more litter picks in Minet Country Park and on Springfield Road. We have also started to evaluate our action plan. We did questionnaires about litter and waste with pupils from across the school to evaluate how we are currently doing in these focus areas and get us thinking about what we can do next! In addition, we have decided to award Year 6 with the Eco class award for their hard working on reducing the energy they are using in class such as turning off the lights when the sun is shining.
Furthermore, Year 6 has also been doing a lot of research on climate change in class, as well as presenting a fantastic assembly that focused on the different climate issues and how we can work towards to achieving the goal of reducing climate change in school and at home. Well done Year 6! Next term, we will be planning on applying for our Green Flag Award, so watch this space. Remember: reduce, reuse, recycle!
