Home Reading & Parent Partnership

• The decodable reading practice book is given to the child to ensure success is shared with the family. Shared reading books also go home for parents to share and read with their children.
• Parent Reading and Phonics workshops are held throughout the year for all classes, including information about how we read with pupils at school.
• Parents (EYFS-Year 3) are invited once a week to come in and read with their child for enjoyment. Videos are resources are shared with parents to support them in the accurate consolidation of our phonics programme, through home school learning. 
• All pupils have a home reading record which both school and parents write in.
