School Meals

We are fortunate to have a very good Academy meals provision. Lunches, cooked on the premises are vegetarian and planned according to Government guidelines. A menu is provided to show the four weekly cycle of meals, so that parents/carers can discuss the option with their children. We are a ‘Healthy Hillingdon’ school and as such, encourage healthy eating for all our pupils, staff and visitors.

Parents/Carers who receive Income Support, Tax Credit or Job Seekers Allowance are entitled to claim free school meals for their child. The appropriate forms can be obtained from the primary section of the Academy Office. It is important parents/carers apply for these meals if entitled to do so. It is a ‘right’ and there is no stigma attached to applying for free school meals. Information on eligibility for Free School Meals is obtainable from your Local Authority website.

Snacks

We support healthy eating and in the interests of your child’s health we do not allow sweets, chocolate bars and chewing gum at school. The school participates in the National Schools Fruit and Vegetable Scheme and all Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 pupils are encouraged to eat free fruit or vegetables every day. Key Stage 2 Pupils can bring their own fruit or vegetable snack for break times. Fizzy drinks cause many problems and we ask you not to send them. There is drinking water available for all and pupils can bring plastic bottles of water to be kept in the classroom.

Parents/Carers can subscribe to a Milk Scheme which enables their child to have a carton of milk delivered each day.

Please see below for the school menu.
